Gilberts Nursery and Tearoom
On Saturday mornings from mid March until November a Children's Gardening club is run by some enthusiastic volunteers here at the nursery, teaching children all the fun bits about gardening.  From seed sowing to wildlife watching, which also includes pond dipping, in a pond that was constructed by the children 2 years ago.  All children have their own strip of garden where they can grow vegetables and flowers, and then the competition is to grow produce to enter into the the Sherfield English gardening show.

The 2013 project was to involve the children in the construction of a greenhouse made out of plastic bottles.

Any children that are interested in coming along to join in can either just come along from 10.00am - 12.00pm or contact the nursery.   Refreshments are provided for the children by our tearoom.
