Welcome to Gilbert's Nursery (plant centre) And Tearoom.
open all year round!
Our tearoom will be closed from Saturday 1st August - Sunday 8th August (due to our family holiday). Re-opening on Tuesday 11th August.
THE NURSERY WILL STILL REMAIN OPEN DURING THAT TIME.
Our Dahlia field (update 29th July)
Due to the drought conditions we are experiencing and dispite our efforts with
watering, half of our dahlia field will be open from 13th August and we hope to have the whole field open from the beginning of September to the end of October. The second half of the field was planted later due to the heatwave we experienced at the beginning of May which held us up planting and sorting out pathways. But remember dahlias should be a late flowering plant anyway. So a visit from the beginning of September onwards is advised unless we have what they call rain soon.
Our large potted dahlia plants are available for sale.(over 100 varieties, some in flower)
